The problem, plainly. Most governance structures today place decision-making authority at a significant distance from the people affected by those decisions — accountable, at best, every few years at an election, rather than in any ongoing, continuous way.
The question we’re asking. How do human beings actually organize, make decisions, and hold each other accountable, at any scale, in a way that stays genuinely honest over time rather than drifting back toward concentrated, unaccountable power?
What’s happening in this Initiative. This is, in many ways, the meta-question underneath every other Initiative — members here are researching governance and decision-making models, including how Circle One itself should be governed, and drafting frameworks that could apply both within this community and beyond it.
How to get involved. Open to Full-tier members. This Initiative connects closely with The Council — members who show real, sustained engagement here are often the ones who eventually get invited into that space.
