We think transparency here matters more than almost anywhere else on the platform, given everything we’ve said about systems that hide where money actually flows.
General Fund donations go toward the core costs of keeping Circle One running and growing — platform infrastructure, the people doing the work of building it, and general project development. Initiative-specific donations go toward the direct costs of that Initiative’s work — research resources, materials, and eventually, as Initiatives mature, funding real pilot projects that put their frameworks into practice rather than leaving them as documents. We intend to share periodic updates on how funds are actually used — not just a promise, an ongoing practice.
